First, emerge from your quarters, and walk to the south, to the Mayor's office. Talk to Mayor Arkin about the undead, and accept his mission. Shop around town for supplies if you need to. Visit Zarathustra in his little hut in the southwest corner of town. Leave to the north.

Follow the road to the northeast until you reach the Motley Cow. To the southeast of the town is the Town Hall. Talk to the Mayor and also to the military commander. Specifically, ask him about 'mission'. Use the key he gives you to enter the northwest section of Motley Cow. Fight through the undead. The best tactic to use here is commonly known as the 'tank', which means sending your single best fighter in, with maximum bless/haste/protection spells, while everyone else hides outside and refreshes the spells as necessary. Fight until you find a spirit. Kill the spirit. You will get an amulet. This will be useful later. Go back to the commander to get your reward. It will be the keys to the boathouse.

The boathouse is located by the river (surprising, isn't it?) Go there, and take a boat, then sail back down to Nietzsche, where you started. Visit Zarathustra if you haven't already. Listen well to his mission. It can be accomplished as follows:

Follow the road north from Nietzsche, but break off to the northwest when you reach the sign. Now follow the shore of the river, going west. You should come to a bridge. Cross the bridge, and head west. Explore that general area to the northwest. You'll eventually find a large cavern of lava. Cross the lava to the middle to find a cave. Enter the cave. Just south of you will be a friendly tight-rope walker (what?). Talk to him, then fight through the dungeon to get the gem. The dungeon is difficult due to all the lava -- Stealth spells may be useful if you can't handle it. If you must fight the demons, use the Paralysis spell if you have it: it can completely disable them. Recover the gem, then return it to Zarathustra.

Go north now, until you reach the broken bridge to the island tower. Don't go there yet. Instead, go west a little. You should come upon a hut blocked by stalagmites. You can access it from the east (that's to the right, in case you're lacking a compass). Pass through the stalagmites (some can be passed), and enter the hut. Search the rooms, and specifically look in the desk. There's a journal there. Read it, and follow the directions. The cave can be found west of Ferrara. Fight through the lizards and slimes guarding the cave, and go to the center. You can find the Item Maker there. Talk to him, and ask him about the INCANTATION.

Go back to Zarathustra, and get the soul stone from him. If he's not done with it yet, you can try exploring the outdoors for some side quests. Check back to Zarathustra every day or so. He'll eventually have the stone ready, and you can take it. Now you're ready for the final dungeon.

Row the boat up to the island tower. Enter it from the south. Fight your way through. Make sure not to get hit by the Wights: they can drain your experience. Explore the far north of the dungeon, and find a secret room with Vahnatai-style decorations. There is a gold amulet there: take it, and go a little bit south until you get to locked double doors. Stand in front of them, and then you should be able to walk through. A spectre might pop out instantly, but don't worry: it's not hostile yet. Pass through the hallway, and you will meet a Lich. It's not hostile for the moment, but if you talk to it, it will eventually attack you. You can try killing the Lich if you want. If you decide to do so, remember that it CAN be dumbfounded. If you keep Dumbfounding it, it can't throw any nasty spells at you. In any case, either you kill the Lich or ignore it, go up to the altar. Cast Ritual of Sanctification. Watch the final congratulations. You have beaten the scenario.
