Description by Smoo

Magus of Cattalon is my second scenario for BoA. The setup is very simple: You are sent to deal with a group of rogue magi.

The scenario is about the same size as the pre-packed scenarios, though larger than Backwater Calls, and is intented for those who have finished the pre-packed ones, so approximately for parties thirty and up.

Fixes since the initial release:

v.1.0.1 Players should no longer get hopelessly stuck after getting a mission from Beohram they've already completed. Changed the second intro pic (for the PC version only I'm afraid.) Placed some rocks beneath Blood Citadel. Plus a small bug or two.

v.1.0.2 You can no longer rush through the beam trap in the rogues' tower in combat mode. Killing Ferdinand and Timothy is no longer possible in the plains. Plus a typo or two.

v.1.0.3 Finally fixed that bug with Beohram not giving you any orders but promptly stating that he had already.

If you have problems with the scenario, then check out the Readme file that comes with the scenario.

Walkthrough
1) Beohram's Keep
- Nothing important in here. Just head north to the Empire Barricade.

2) Empire Barricade
- Go speak to Commander Tilly. Ask about your mission.
- Go see the quartermaster. Ask about the special equipment. Take the keg from the warehouse (look at it).
- Head north towards the tower.

3) Magi Tower (first floor)
- There's a crack in the east wall. Walk up to it. Take the wand that appears after the magi and the golem have attacked you.
- The staircase to the upper tower is in the northern center of the tower. Use the wand to get pass the beams.

4) Magi Tower (second floor)
- Head south and take the corridor to the east. Take the smaller corridor to the south and then to the west. Use the panel in the part that is lower than the rest of the room. Smash the power sources.
- Head back to the center where the runes cover the corridor to the south. Step on the eastern aisle. Then come back and step on the western aisle. Step back and walk through the middle corridor.
- "Kill" Polonius two times then walk around the room for a while.

5) Plains
- Just get out of this "town" and head north to the visible town (Fahrango).

6) Fahrango
- Move to the center of the town. Watch the cutscene.
- After you've survived the attack head to the warehouse to your south. Look at the body inside. Talk to the sergeant. Walk out of town.

7) Fort Nepharim
- Nothing here. Though you might want to get your weapons back from the commander's office. It's east of the prison.
- The other part of Fort Nepharim is the town of Haven. There is nothing vital in it either.

At this point the scenario branches out a little. Both paths lead to the same outcome. This walkthrough covers the simpler and more obvious path.

8) Gerolt's Hamlet
- Walk up to the recruiting booth and sign up. Head back to Fort Nepharim.

9) Fort Nepharim
- Talk to the commander. He is in the dinner hall.
- Get out of town and head north to the Nephilim Caves.

10) Nephilim Caves
- Head as east as you can, then north. Kill the nephar. You will get a special item (Key ring).
- Kill the chieftain inside the building.
- Head back to Fort Nepharim

11) Fort Nepharim
- Talk to the commander. He is once again in his office.
- Take the road south and west to the River Fort

At this point it is possible to just rush through the remaining dungeons not caring about the  missions you have. However the walkthrough will except that you do not to do so.

12) River Fort
- There is nothing in here except a healer for the wounded and poor adventurer.
- Once you're in Giant Valley head north until you reach the Giant Barricade.

13) Giant Barricade
- Head west once you reach the naga statues. Take the southern door and on the next corridor go through the southernmost double-door.
- Kill the giant chieftain. Use the controls in the chieftains room to open the gate to the north.
- Now simply walk outside and keep on heading north until you get a message saying you should head back. Go back to the Giant Barricade.
- Beohram is here. Talk with him to get the final mission.

IMPORTANT! Once you accept the final mission you can no longer leave Giant Barricade and once you get to the Blood Citadel you can't leave there either. Make sure you're rested and if you have some stuff to sell, do it before accepting the mission from Beohram.

14) Blood Citadel
- The gate to the main building is opened by two switches in the east and west buildings from the entrance. The turning wheel in the western building is in the NW-corner and in the eastern building it's in the SE-corner.
- Once in the main building head through the naga statues and in to the north-western double doors in the hall.
- Kill Kragtgoth and use the switch. The gates to the stairway are open. Kragtgoth is vulnerable to ice.

15) Beneath the Citadel
- Turn east from the corridor. Take the doors north next to the gates. Fight your way to the northern rooms until you find a turning wheel. Turn it to open the gates to the eastern part of the fortress.
- Once you're through the gates head north. Go down the corridor and use the doors. The next room is filled with machinery. Take the door to the portal room.
- Jam a rock in the cogs in the machinery. If you do not for some reason have a rock you'll find one from various parts of the citadel. Head towards the portal. The giant king will attack you.
- Concentrate your attacks on the king, once the machine begins to heal him, head towards the portal again. Watch the cut-scene.

Now simply exit the scenario by walking south from Beohram's Keep. Congratulations! You have beaten Magus of Cattalon! (With the help of a walkthrough...)
