| One of the less well known facts about portals is that one end, at least, must have a strong power source. Often this would be the mage who created it. In the caves of Grancia, however, an abundance of power crystals, a rare source of magical energy, allowed a huge network of portals to be built. However, an earthquake long ago buried the richest areas and damaged the network rather badly. Recently a new, fairly rich vein was discovered, making this an area of stupendous commercial importance. However, as always, there are problems. Bandits, goblins, nothing major. None the less, you decide to go there.
Later on, one of the terminals of the portal network is descovered, however, it is overrun by demons which were sent in with the exploratory team to do the heavy work. Being demonic, they rebelled and slaughtered the rest of the team. (The Demo (Below) contains this area.) However, in unearthing the portal netwotk, a new threat has been unleashed… |
