Empire Archives

 

The new Empire Archives are inside Fort Legov, a fortress in the NE sector of the Northern Islands.

You’ll need an Empire Blue Pass to reach the fort. Also, the main of the archives are protected and to enter them you’ll need Elderan’s ivory key.

Empire Archives

There’s a hidden boat near the northern entrance. Search for a secret door and go aboard. Sail the lava and land occasionally to fight the guards.
Use the Ivory Key to enter the main of the Archives. Fight your way to the Indexing Rooms. The directions for two different teleportation files are in Index Chamber B (at 31-32,12).
Now you have the locations of the files, you need to go to the 2nd level. There’re two different ways for two different sections... and each file is at a different one. 
  • To find the path to the Surface Portal, go to any of the platforms around the central pit of the fort and jump. It’s a leap of faith...

... the good place to jump is the eastern platform, but any one will take you where you need.

  • To find the instructions for a ritual that lets you enter the Empire guardpost, go back to the boat and ride to the south. There’s a secret door at 28,36. Climb down the stairways behind.
Empire Archives (L2) Again, fight your way through the Archives.
  • The directions to the Surface Portal are on the 1st level, but you need to climb back there from here: find the northern secret hall, beyond the Hall of Musty Shelves, and climb up the stairs to the Map Chamber.
  • The instructions for the guardpost are at the Hall of Rituals.
There’s more than dusty files in these halls. Two old friends of Exile, Aydin and Josie, are held as prisoners in the south-western rooms (Cell Block A). 
There’re too some hidden cache and other curios. When you’re ready to leave, go to the Holding Cells and exit via the NW door. (if you’ve spread any quickfire there, there’s a hidden emergency button at 18,13).
